Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle was an undeniable success. starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart as video game characters has satisfied fans who were waiting years for a sequel to Jumanji. After the end that left us the first was difficult to make a sequel, a story that really met the expectations of fans and marked a new beginning, with his humor and madness have been very successful.

Ladies, gents and children of all ages.. The JUMANJI SEQUEL is officially underway. Holy shit what a dynamite pitch from our writer/director Jake Kasdan. We couldn’t stop laughing and most importantly – like our first JUMANJI – the HEART in our story is our anchor. Writing with Jake, are our original JUMANJI writers Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. Back to produce is my twin, Matt Tolmach and myself, @danygarciaco & @hhgarcia41. And sorry for the spoiler but @kevinhart4real dies in the first 15 seconds of the movie, to what I’m assuming will be a HUGE standing ovation from the audience and the cast @karengillanofficial @jackblack @nickjonas 😂 #TheSmolderReturns #SevenBucksProds #SONY #JUMANJI

After its release, Sony gave the green light for the sequel with the same cast in the lead. After some time without news, La Roca, which was busy with several productions such as Ballers, Project Rampage or Skyscrapper, has now commented that it is working on the project confirming “Jumanji’s sequel is officially in production”.

I say that Jake Kasdan, the director and scriptwriter of the film, provided them with the script and this one is phenomenal, they couldn’t stop laughing and, like the first one, the main climax is based on the story. The jokes to Kevin Hart can’t be necessary, but still, confirming that his character will die the first 15 seconds with a big ovation from the audience and the cast.

In this publication he confirms that the writers of the first part, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg will also be for this sequel along with the aforementioned Director Kasdan
